Kevin Mooney has been coming to the Mohican area for much of his life, but the idea of treehouses never occurred to him until he saw a book written by master treehouse builder Pete Nelson. Mooney takes his family to the Mohican Valley often, using it as an escape from the urban sprawl of their hometown of Cleveland. He has always been passionate about finding ways to disconnect from work and technology, which he does by taking his boys to the same place he went as a child to get in touch with nature.
